Ramblin' Trees

I wrote a song once that I felt perfectly described "my" love.  The love I have for my husband.  Of course in it are sprinkles of morbidity and despair.  But that's how I roll.

Today, just after Valentine's, I want to share that song with you.  This one will undoubtedly make my debut album; imagine a beautiful high harmony...strings...a nice long hall reverb...ahhhh....

"White Oak Tree"

The morning sun passes through the leaves

Bathing your sweet face in gold

We've been lying here all night, and I believe

I'll be yours forever to hold

So take my hand

Forever is right up ahead

We'll blow in the wind,

And wind up here again

I'll be yours forever you'll see

Underneath this white oak tree.

Seasons come and go just like the tide

Changes are all that I see

But we've got love and an old tire swing

And two that look just like you and me

So take my hand

Forever is right up ahead

We'll blow in the wind

And wind up here again

I'll be yours forever you'll see

Underneath this white oak tree

Carry my body back again

Let me rest beneath the memories we made

Our love is just too strong for circumstance

So take your time, forever I'll wait

Take my hand

Forever is right up ahead

We'll blow in the wind

And wind up here again

I'll be yours forever you'll see

Underneath this white oak tree

I'll look up for you, you'll look down on me

Underneath this white oak tree

Forever is right up ahead.... ;)
